A shipment whether it is personal effects/household goods or commercial items when it is handled by yourself or by a third party like a removal company or a freight forwarder, it is very essential that all the items dispatched should be provided by an All Risks Insurance cover for the current value of the goods plus 10 to 15 % of the same to cover the cost of handling and freight paid to the carriers.

We can provide a very competitive rate, to provide All Risks Coverage that means covering all the eventualities on a door to door basis. Only you have to prepare an itemized packing list with value shown against each item, for which we are providing blank printed standard forms. Any query regarding this matter will be clarified by any of our staff. It is important that the Insurance cover should be in place before the consignment leaves your premises. This is very important.

Main Exclusions
Removals companies do not usually cover goods which fall under the following risk criteria:
Consequential loss
Consequential losses (i.e. resulting losses) arising from the delay in delivery may not be covered, and loss of value and depreciation due to damage and/or after repair may be excluded from cover. Ensure that you clarify this with your removals company.
Owner packed goods
Items packed by the owner without inspection by the mover before the carton box is sealed, are classified as "Packed by Owner" (abbreviated as PBO). Movers usually exclude cover to items which are damaged or lost in owner-packed-cartons. If you wish to be covered, allow your removals company to pack or repack all items.
Insurance companies consider us a good risk as we have among the least number of claims in our industry: if, however, something should happen our insurance department will scrupulously follow your claim, helping with all forms and procedures, right up to the final outcome of the claim.
